Arborists Training Program
The Arborists Training Program is a week-long session held annually in mid-October in Manhattan, Kansas.
The 2020 Training class was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Plans for 2021 are still uncertain. Please check back here, sign up for the newsletter, or follow the KAA Facebook page for updates. The program was created to educate and train people who work with trees and is geared towards existing or potential tree maintenance workers. Tree board members, park managers, ground maintenance personnel, and administrators are also invited to attend this school to learn about proper tree care. Attendance is limited, so register early! For more information, view the informational flyer. Please note: The flyer may be used to request a registration form/application for the course. Registration forms/applications are not available online due to the popularity of the course. Paper registration forms/ applications are mailed to all active members and interested parties approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the beginning of the course beginning. Registration forms/applications should then be returned promptly to ensure a space is reserved. The course usually fills very quickly. |
